CHA’s annual Hospital Compliance seminars will be held Feb. 15 in Sacramento and March 1 in Costa Mesa. This annual program is tailored for hospital compliance officers, in-house legal counsel, chief financial officers and anyone responsible for hospital-wide compliance with state and federal law. Attendees at this year’s program will receive the most recent updates on key compliance issues, including new state and federal observation notification requirements, updates on privacy and security of health information related to business associates, new Conditions of Participation for emergency preparedness, Office of Inspector General’s work plan, patient safety organizations, hot spots in compliance and more. A special panel session of hospital compliance officers will examine persistent compliance issues and offer practical solutions.
