Starting at the 16:00 mark, Voice of America’s Lori London interviews Nelson Hardiman managing partner Harry Nelson about the opioid crisis. Harry states that new numbers being reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are “blowing way past worst case scenarios.” Harry believes that the 64,000 opioid related deaths in 2016 could skyrocket to nearly a quarter million unless the problem is dealt with.
